Show your live status on your own site
A status widget for your website and badges for a README, both kept current from your status page and installed once.
Why it works this way
Customers look for status where they already are, in your app or your help centre. Sending them to a separate page during an incident adds a step at the moment they are least patient.
The widget is a small panel on your site that shows the current state and, when something is wrong, the open incident or maintenance. It can stay hidden until there is an issue, follow the whole page or up to five services, and sit in a corner, across the footer or inline. It runs in an isolated frame, so it cannot read or change anything on your page.
Badges are SVG images rendered fresh on every request, in any language your page publishes. Both are installed once: change the settings later and every copy picks the change up without anyone pasting new code.
